Lady Macbeth's Binge Worthy Shows

Lady Macbeth's Binge Worthy Show List

What does your favourite Queen have on her binge worthy list? Here it is so you can watch like royalty ...or what a murder watches (yikes) either way this list will blow even the best witches socks off!

Okay let's start this list off  of the 6 best shows with a classic let's get a *drum roll*:

1. How to Get Away With Murder
Get it because she and Macbeth are trying to get away with murder haha yikes. Anywho that is not the whole premise of the show it is 4 law students. These students commit crimes and get involved with murders. They use their knowledge from the law to get away with it. Considering Macbeth has competed and planned so many murders it would be helpful for Lady Macbeth to watch this. SHe needs to help her husband literally get away with murder so this show would be a perfect how-to guide so she can stay in power because we all know Lady Macbeth only cares about power.

2.  Scandal
Well okay, Scandal is another show about getting away with things, which Lady Macbeth needs because you know all the Scandals she is committing. Talking more about the show Scandal takes place in Washington, DC and involves Olivia Pope and the President of the United States, whose name is Fitzgerald Grant. Olivia Pope is a lawyer and the "fixer" for the President. She is having an affair with him and due to this, she ends up with a lot of power over him. She ends up fixing all of his mistakes so they don't get out to the media. She is super good at this, unlike Trump's "fixer" who got caught and is now is jail.  Olivia is a lot like Lady Macbeth would be as queen so she should binge watch this in order to get tips to fix all of her husband's mistakes. Because let's face it he makes a heck of a lot of them.

3. Insatiable
Okay, this show may not be very expected but I think it shows Lady Macbeth in a way that many people can relate too. This show involves a teenager who loses a lot of weight and suddenly becomes popular. With this popularity comes to power and she does almost everything wrong she can with this power. She only wants to become Beauty Queen and will do whatever it takes to get there. This show just shows Lady Macbeth for who she really is because instead of Beauty Queen she wants to become actual Queen, I think she should watch this to show want not to do so she does not abuse her power more then she already has.

4. Riverdale
This is another crime show but it is more targeted towards teenagers. In this show based on the famous comic but it turns into something different. In the town, many crimes are committed and it is up to 4 teenagers to solve them. They are put into many bad situations but always end up okay. Did I mention there is also witchcraft in the show, making it even more perfect for Lady Macbeth? By watching this show she will get tips on how to deal with problems created in the area that her husband rules, and how not to get caught for the crimes she commits doing so. She will even get tips on witches which heck is so important to this show is UBER important for her watch list.

5. The Crown
So this show is about royalty. In the show, it depicts a young now Queen Elizabeth as she is coming into power. This show even takes place during the time of Shakespeare making it even more perfect for Lady Macbeth to watch. She should watch this show in order to see what power comes with ruling a kingdom and to see how a woman can have the power because let's face it she wants the power more then she wants her husband to have power.

6, Arrow
Arrow is a show that involves a modern-day Robin Hood. It is based on the DC comic green arrow and shows how the millionaire Oliver Queen comes make to reality after being stuck on an island for 5 years. He uses his new found "power" for good and helps people who need it. Lady Macbeth would like this show because she wants power just like Oliver has. In a way she wishes she could be him, which he is representing Macbeth because she wants the power and she would even be a man to get this. This is seen when she has the "unsex me" scene. Lady Macbeth should watch this show as a guilty pleasure to see what Macbeth and she could be with all their new found power.

Okay just because this is super fun I'll give you a Bonus show just so you have more to binge watch over this winter break to be more like Lady Macbeth so they show is:
Making A Murderer
This show would be perfect for Lady Macbeth to watch. It depicts a man who was in jail because he was framed for a crime he did not commit. This would be perfect for her to watch because she will be able to see how to frame someone for murder, which she needs to do because ya her husband killed King Duncan and a crap ton of other people just for power.

Well thats the end of it!! Have an enjoyable binge watching over winter vreak because all of these shows rock in general and even more because they relate to Macbeth!

  1. Hi Hannah! Great post! I loved how casual and funny your blog was; your voice really came through your writing. I thought you picked great shows and your descriptions of them were thorough and well-justified with analysis of Macbeth. Maybe next time you can go into greater detail of the plots of the shows? Although you did pick commonly-known shows, so really, if people don't know them, they don't deserve to know them. Anyway keep up the great work! I will definitely be binge-watching some of these over break!!

  2. Hey, Hannah! Interesting list of shows. Although, I don't watch none of those but, I have heard of them. I debated on whether I should watch Riverdale but, for some reason I don't feel lured to watch it. Anyways, I enjoyed reading you blog post. I really liked how you were able to connect each show with Lady Macbeth's personality really well. A suggestion I would make is to have the color font green, red, and white (although white won't exactly work). Overall, great post!

  3. Hey Hannah!! You can definitely see a theme with your choice of shows haha. While there are a couple of these that I have not watched, you did a great job of telling how exactly they related to the story line of Macbeth. You did a great job with your justification, and through this also gave us a deeper understanding of characterization and who exactly Lady Macbeth is and her role in the play. One thing you could possibly do is add some form of quotes from the play in order for us to see a direct correlation? Just a suggestion but I thought it was great :)

  4. I liked your blog and how casual it was. You showed how much you like these shows as well as someone else might, like Lady Macbeth. I think you picked shows that she would possibly recommend as well, however, I wish you added more analysis into why she would have picked these shows. You had good analysis, but if you fleshed them out a little more, they would be a lot stronger.

  5. Hey Hannah!!
I really enjoyed reading your blog post. I also did Lady Macbeth and included How To Get Away With Murder and Scandal in mine as well. I liked how you included how Lady Macbeth could watch Scandal to learn how to fix her husbands problems because I hadn't thought of that reason when writing my blog post. Also, I really liked your other choices of shows for Lady Macbeth. I do however, believe you could have gone into depth more on the plot of some of these shows and gave analysis more for why Lady Macbeth would watch these. Honestly, just more of a balance between the two for each show would have made your post better. Also, maybe include more themes like ambition within your analysis.

  6. Hey Hannah! I really liked this post, you had a great casual tone and you implemented your sense of humor which I thought was great! You presented great shows, however I think that this post could have been a little better if you were to extend the information about the plots/ show a little more interest in the shows by giving more details. I used some of the same shows as you, aka Riverdale and Insatiable, so clearly we have the same taste! Great job(:

  7. Hey Hannah. I really liked your selection of shows. Pretty interesting to be honest. I also did lady macbeth but my shows were completely different to what you did. I think you could have improved on maybe giving more details about the shows and giving a little more background, just so we could understand what's going on. Other than that, I really enjoyed reading your blog!
